Privacy Policy
Roadie (“Roadie,” “we,” “us”) is an invite-only marketplace connecting touring artists and production teams with vetted crew. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account & identity — name, email, and authentication details (including via Google sign-in).
- Professional profile — for crew: skills, gear, rates, languages, regions, availability, and uploaded documents (e.g. résumé, references, ID for verification).
- Payment information — processed by Stripe. We store Stripe identifiers only; we never store full card or bank numbers.
- Messages & bookings — content you send on-platform and your booking history.
- Usage & device data — log data, device/browser information, and cookies needed to run the service.
2. How we use it
- Operate the marketplace: vetting, search, matching, bookings, payments.
- Maintain trust and safety, including detecting off-platform circumvention.
- Communicate with you about your account, requests, and bookings.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. The pre-booking privacy model
Before a booking is in motion, planners see only the information needed to judge capability — a headshot, first name and last initial, and professional details. A crew member’s full legal name and contact details are not revealed until a booking exists between the parties.
4. How we share it
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who run the platform on our behalf — e.g. Supabase (hosting/database), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), and email/SMS providers — under contract.
- Other users, limited to what each booking stage requires.
- Legal/safety when required by law or to protect users.
- Business transfers in a merger or acquisition.
5. Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Records tied to bookings and payments are retained for audit and compliance.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. EEA/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise them.
7. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including row-level access controls, encryption in transit, and signed, expiring links for sensitive documents. No system is perfectly secure.
8. International transfers
Roadie serves a global crew network; your information may be processed in countries other than your own, with appropriate safeguards.
9. Children
Roadie is for professionals 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy; we’ll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you.
